Are you or someone you know struggling emotionally or spiritually, overwhelmed or simply feeling down? A Stephen Minister can share your burdens. We are lay people from the congregation who have been trained to listen, care, encourage, pray and walk beside you when you are hurting. A woman is assigned to a woman, a man to a man. The ministry is completely confidential, free and has been proven to be incredibly helpful. No issue is too big or too small.
If you are interested in becoming a Stephen Minister, the next training class starts Thursday, January 18, at 9:30 a.m. in Room S436 off the Narthex. We have room for a few more members. You will mot become a "counselor!" You will simply, but importantly, become a “care” giver, and the training will totally equip you to do so.
