Some give freely, yet grow all the richer;
others withhold what is due, and only suffer want.
A generous person will be enriched,
and one who gives water will get water.
Proverbs 11:24-25

A Guide to Giving Scripture teaches us to give as we are able and to give from our heart. "God loves a cheerful giver." 2 Corin. 9:7. When people ask how much and where should we give? Scripture also guides us. It tells us a tithe (one tenth) of our income and other offerings should be brought to that place where "the lord your God will choose... to put his name there." Deuteronomy 12:5. For us, that place of God's choosing is our church. Our giving however is not limited. The founder of the Methodist movement, John Wesley said, "Make all you can. Save all you can. Give all you can." Jesus said, "It is more blessed to give than to receive." Acts 20:35.

The Ministry Budget - is our church. It is our first line of giving. Sometimes referred to as the operations budget, it is what supports all the ministries of the church.

Capital Giving Fund - is for those who can do more. It is the mortgage for the church. The Capital Giving fund, pays down our loan for the buildings and land, with a goal to be debt free.

Endowment Fund - for the future of this church and something to consider especially when doing estate planning.

Missions - the church is the mission, but the church also lifts up and endorses many other areas of ministry and mission for those who can do a little extra. This extra mile giving is generally designated offerings for special causes, in which people give over and above their church tithe.
